The conception of El-Beulah dates back to 1973 and is the fulfillment of a divine commission. God heard the cry of unhappy seniors’ living circumstances and gave forth the vision for El-Beulah Retirement Village – a place where seniors could retire and live the rest of their lives in a "just this side of heaven" environment. The name Beulah appears in Isaiah 62:4 and means married or belonging to. Coupled with the Hebrew word “El” (meaning God), El-Beulah means "belonging to God."

It took 23 years to get the project underway. Holding onto Romans 4:21, "What God has promised, He was able also be perform," we pressed forward, acquiring tax-exempt status – enabling us to provide villas for rent for considerably less than market value. We broke ground in the fall of 1995. Featuring 72 villas and a glistening three acre lake with a walking track, El-Beulah opened its doors as "living, just this side of heaven."

The villas feature four unique floor plans with living areas ranging from 731 to 1,217 square feet. Some of the luxurious features of these villas include covered porches, security systems and complete lawn service.

In the late fall of 2005, we opened Phase I of our Community Center – a 5,000 square foot building plausibly featuring an industrial kitchen, exercise facility, full feature lending library, community room, lounge with fireplace and big screened TV and much more. El-Beulah has truly become a "paradise" for seniors.
